Job Title: Sales Manager, Canada/USA
SUMMARY
SmartVac, a division of TKS Industries in Lacombe, AB, is looking for a talented and enthusiastic sales professional who loves building relationships, promoting great products, and delivering world-class service. At SmartVac, we build specialized hydrovac trucks with our proprietary designs that compete with the big boys. By staying on top of the latest design trends and technologies, we can provide a superior product at an unbeatable price. Due to overwhelming growth, we want to find the ideal candidate, a motivated sales professional with experience in the large equipment sales industry or something similar. Exceptional performance in their past outside sales roles will be a significant plus. This position requires excellent hospitality, communication skills, attention to detail, time management, a sense of urgency/priority, and the ability to process information with efficient accuracy. Experience using modern lead generation tools and techniques backed with CRM system knowledge will be an important asset.
This Sale Manager role is responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities in the construction and industrial marketplace. You will need to build relationships with prospects and clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. This position will be based out of the city of Lacombe, with a population of 13,057. Just 15 minutes North of the major centre of Red Deer and close to the popular recreation area and town of Sylvan Lake. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting and gaining new customers to grow the account base in Canada and the USA.

Presenting various products and services to customers and preparing quotes and detailed descriptions of SmartVac solutions

Selling – attaining sales goals as well as achieving a high closing ratio

Margins – you will be responsible for maintaining prescribed margins on product sales

Product Service – as sales manager, you will be responsible for initiating service programs and playing a role in maintaining the companies desired service level

Customer Service – the sales manager, will be responsible for maintaining the company's high satisfaction track record

Provides hydrovac sales training to new sales agents in the field and manages their activities and performance
MEETING ATTENDANCE AND WORK HOURS
-
Typical hours are 8-5 pm daily, but additional hours will be required on some occasions, such as tradeshows and while traveling.

Some remote work will be required

There is no paid overtime as part of this management role.

Regular meetings will be held with the owner(s) and engineering staff to review key metrics and results

Must attend all sales meetings, company meetings, and other mandatory scheduled events.

Regular travel in Canada and the USA will be required to meet with clients, attend and work trade shows and build future sales.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
-
Knowledge and experience with sales with large equipment is strongly preferred
-
Hydrovac sales experience or familiarity with this industry would be a big plus

Previous outside sales experience is essential

Experience with CRM software or the ability to learn quickly is important

You are a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to succeed

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
